Where to find a North Carolina homeschool prom
We welcome students from across North Carolina. Our home base is the Piedmont Triad. Past prom venues include the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden in Kernersville, Adaumont Farm in Trinity, and Bryan Park Golf and Conference Center in Greensboro. Explore the Triad venue history and current dance.
Enchanted Starlight 2026 also included a Triangle event at Carver Lake Venue in Prospect Hill. Both events are past. A future Triangle prom has not been announced.
Who can attend
Our proms welcome homeschool students and their friends, usually ages 14 to 19. Friends do not have to be homeschooled. Come on your own, as a couple, or with a group. Large groups are welcome too. Check the specific event's age rules before buying.
What to expect at the dance
A professional DJ plays clean, radio-edit music. Dance with friends, take photos, and enjoy snacks and cold drinks. Past proms have included a photo booth with props. Dinner is not provided. Each event page lists that night's extras.
Chaperones and security are present throughout. Every student needs a ticket. Our parent guide explains QR-code check-in, drop-off, and pickup so you can plan your first dance.
Prom is formal. Gentlemen wear a suit or tuxedo with a button-down shirt tucked in. Ladies wear modest formal wear that meets our neckline, back, and length guidelines. Read the full dress code before choosing an outfit.
Faith-based by design
NC Local Events is a Christian, faith-based organization. Clean music, modest dress, and a chaperoned setting reflect our values. Students of any background are welcome.
